HeyHo
Rent tools without the hassle, delivered right to your front door
In 2021, I designed the complete digital experience for the start-up HeyHo. The proposition was as simple as it was ambitious: to become the 'Picnic of tool rental.' I was responsible for the UX strategy and the full UX/UI design of the app, which aimed to put an end to traditional queues at rental companies. Unfortunately, the service is no longer active.

The challenge
Renting tools is traditionally a sluggish process of calling, picking up, and filling out deposit forms. My challenge was to capture this process in an intuitive app experience. The barrier to DIY needed to be lowered: with just a few swipes, the user should be able to select the right machine, reserve a time slot, and handle the payment.
Design for convenience
When designing the interface, the focus was on speed and transparency. I developed a flow where the user has immediate insight into availability and delivery. Because the service revolved around physical home delivery, it was crucial that the design radiated trust while hiding the complexity of logistical time slots from the user.
From strategy to interface
I translated the entire vision into a high-end UI design that combines the energy of a start-up with the reliability of professional tools. Although the service is no longer active, the product remains a textbook example of how digital design can challenge a traditional physical market.
